Members of the ESA agree to be bound to the principles of the “universal ethical code for scientists”: Rigour, Respect, Responsibility (https://allea.org/code-of-conduct/).
Members are responsible to act in such a way as to uphold the dignity and reputation of the subject, the profession and of the Society itself.
Each member should conform to any specific requirements that the Society may from time to time prescribe in connection with particular circumstances.
Individuals should always feel able to approach members of the council with concerns about conduct.
